P1 Don’t Cheat Tutorial

[vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12895" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]What is Cheating in P1?

You don’t have to sneak a chocolate for it to be cheating. Eating anything off the P1 Permissible Ingredients list is cheating on the HCG Diet even just one peanut.

The HCG Diet is extremely sensitive to anything ‘off-list’ especially sugars, starches, oils and fats. You have to be aware of everything you put IN your mouth and ON your body.

Although some foods are lower in calories or recommended on other diets, it is NOT ok on the HCG Diet because it interfers with the action of HCG on abnormal white adipose fat.

The HCG Diet is not one of substitution. If followed exactly, the P1 protocol is a precise recipe for effective maximum daily weight loss.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]SOME EATING no-nos

You cannot eat foods that are ‘off-list’ even if they are seemingly innocuous ones such as mushrooms, carrot, or capsicum.

Mixing permissible vegetables in one meal e.g. lettuce and tomato is not ok.

Not weighing or guessing your protein portion or eating the same protein twice in the one day e.g. seared chicken breast and chicken ball soup.

Oily fish such as salmon, sardines, mackerel or trout or tinned fish which is usually oily fish. Tinned crab often has added sugar.

Trying to eat skinny at a restaurant (unless it is Skinny-World Accredited for Meals and Dining).

Using sweetener including sugar, honey, syrup, agave, aspartame or other artificial sweetener (except stevia).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12896" alignment="right" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12897" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]SOME MORE EATING no-nos

Eating two grissini sticks or Melba toasts at the one meal or borrowing a grissini stick or fruit for breakfast and then having another fruit or grissini stick at lunch time.

Snacking on popcorn, nuts or chips. Even just trying a sauce containing fat, oil, butter, cream, flour or sugar is not ok.

Eating commercial soup or stock which has sugar, flour or root vegetables in it – even a homemade broth based on carrot, onion and celery will cause you to gain weight the next day.

Having yoghurt or cheese other than skim milk cottage cheese.

Chewing gum or eating mints.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]BEVERAGE no-nos

You cannot drink sodas or commercial fruit juice irrespective of the number of calories they claim to have or they are ‘sugar-free’.

You cannot have herbal tea if it has oil floating on the top of it. Either remove the oil with absorbant paper or don’t drink it.

You cannot have more than 1 Tbsp of milk per day. That eliminates lattes.

You cannot have any alcohol.

You must make sure you drink plenty of water, at least 2 to 3 liters (2 to 3 quarts) per day during P1. It will help things move along and aid elimination.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12898" alignment="right" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12899" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]FOOD PREPARATION Rules

You must weighing your protein raw before cooking it, it must be skinless, boneless and all visible fat must be cut off

If eating chicken it can only be the breast. If eating beef or veal mince it must be at least 95 percent lean. It is best to select the fillet and have your butcher trim it and mince it for you. If eating fish it must be white fish such as the Cod above with a vinegar and ‘soy’ chili dip.

If preparing the family meal you must wear latex gloves to prevent coming into contact with fat or oil. You cannot taste the family’s food.

You cannot cook your food as part of the family’s meal and guess your portion.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]FOOD PREPARATION Rules

You cannot use any fat, oil, butter, cream or yoghurt, not even a spray to lubricate the pan or skillet.

You can use the jus but do not thicken it with starch or flour to make a sauce.

You cannot use flour or root vegetables in the preparation of soup stock e.g. carrot.

Beware when using commercial seasoning that it doesn’t contain sugar e.g. Mexican Seasoning or sometimes garlic salt.

You cannot use soy sauce because it contains wheat. Braggs Liquid Aminos is a suitable wheat-free alternative. Other sauces such as fish sauce kecap manis, ketchup and even balsamic vinegar contain sugar, therefore you cannot use them.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12900" alignment="right" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12901" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]Medication

Ointments and certain medications may need to be avoided or discontinued during the course of P1 and P2 because they contain sugar or oil. Others because they interfere with the action of HCG on fat metabolism, such as HRT.

Please consult with your doctor to discuss the effects of temporary discontinuation of your medication.

If you are medicated for any chronic condition you will need to be followed by your doctor as weight loss usually requires that the dose be altered.

NOTE: Taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) increases your risk of breast cancer.

Supplements that contain oil e.g. fish oil tablets need to be discontinued during P1.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]Makeup and Body Care

From Day 3 to the end of P1 you cannot use normal makeup or body care products because they contain oil. Only use oil-free products. This includes makeup remover, moisturizer, foundation, concealer and sunscreen products. Keep normal makeup and body care products out of reach so you don’t accidentally apply them. Exceptions are lipstick, eyebrow pencil and loose face powder.

Baby oil is made from mineral oil, a derivative of crude oil. It is permissible.

You cannot have a massage or rub sunscreen on your child. A day at the salon can be disastrous in P1, save it for P2.

Aftershave and perfume should not be applied to the skin. If you wear a scent, spray your clothing, not your skin.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="12902" alignment="right" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="9275" img_link_target="_self" img_size="full"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]
