Ingredients

100g lean Beef mince

2 cloves Garlic, minced

1 red Chili, finely chopped

½ tsp Cumin

1 Tbsp Coriander, finely chopped (can substitute with basil)

1 cup Lettuce, finely sliced

2 whole Lettuce leaves

salt

pepper

 

Sauce

1 Tbsp wheatless Tamari OR Braggs Liquid Aminos (‘soy’)

juice of 1 Lime

Method

  1. Place the beef mince, garlic, chili, cumin, sliced lettuce, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix thoroughly
  2. Form beef mixture into 2 evenly sized meat balls
  3. Dry fry in a Teflon pan on medium heat, turning to brown all sides - takes about 7 - 8 minutes
  4. When cooked, remove from the heat and cool
  5. When cooled, wrap each meat ball in a lettuce leaf. Secure with toothpicks
  6. Serve with dressing of ‘soy’ mixed with lime juice
