Soy Asparagus

Asparagus has a high ‘respiration rate’ – that means it goes off quicker than other vegetables – three times faster than lettuce or tomatoes. It needs to be eaten within 48 hours of purchase.



  • 4 – 5 asparagus spears
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp wheatless Tamari OR Braggs Liquid Aminos ('soy')


  1. Steam the asparagus for 2 - 3 minutes. Remove from boiling water with a slotted spoon.
  2. Place on a serving dish, dress with soy and garlic.
  3. Serve hot
